I am hoping that this year, our family would be able to board on a plane again for a getaway just like what we did last year. Looking at airline sites really make me wish we could book a flight again, but I have to seriously consider the costs. Oh, well… the year is just starting, right? So much could still happen so I guess it’s not wrong to get excited! Wishes come for free so I think that taking my family to a vacation outside the country would be a good goal for me this year.

In our culture, there are many things to spend on especially when you go outside the country—aside from the fare, hotel and food expenses, one has to think of buying some souvenirs to give to close friends back home. I am sure they would be happy to have some cohiba cigars dominican.

Of course it would be great to bring home some chips or some famous delicacies from the place we have visited! I guess that’s still a long way off, so meantime, it’s time to work hard to make this dream come true.

I guess I have to find time to make that scrub one of these days—mind you; I can get the same beauty treatment right here in my house, practically for free! Whoever said a stay-at –home mom like me doesn’t have the right to a beauty treatment?

Anyway, we had a small family celebration and as you all know it, she got two birthday cakes on that day! Aside from that, she had a lot of pinks gifts given by her godmothers and online friends. She is indeed a happy child that day!!

Some graduates don’t apply for Food Service Jobs because they think it would lessen their social status in life. But what they don’t realize is that if they take such jobs and work hard on it, someday they might become restaurant managers or future entrepreneurs of their own. Sadly, they don’t see it that way.

Oh well, unemployment can be solved. It can be solved if people are cured inside. Don’t you think?

I understand that most customer service jobs nowadays require agents to not only assist customers or clients with their needs but they are also required to sell their products or services and I happen to be good at sales. I don’t think I would have worked as a sales manager if I didn’t know a thing about it.

I think it’s very important for those who desire to be good customer service representatives to present themselves in a positive light because as it is, a lot of people are generalizing their annoyance with incompetent agents. If I were to train these agents, I would start by teaching them how to be proactive while at the same time attuned to the needs of their clients.

Indeed, times have changed and even games children play has evolved. It’s more than likely that your kids are now hooked on PSP, PS3, Wii or Xbox. Personally, I think these modern gaming consoles are only out there to make you several dollars poorer. One example is when you set out to buy ps3 games. They almost cost as much as a new DVD of a top grossing movie! But when you have a kid, you’re ready to spend no matter how much as long as your kid stays happy.

I don’t know if it’s just me or you have, too, have noticed how some bottles like ketchup, juices, energy drinks and water are filled just perfectly? It must have taken a very good and reliable filling machine to fill them up just right and nicely, no more and no less, and it makes you think they must have been filled manually in order to achieve that.

Then there’s that thing about bottle caps. Isn’t it there are bottle caps that pop when you open them? Hearing the popping sound gives you the assurance that the content of the bottle is clean and has been sealed air tight. A very powerful bottle capper was no less used to accomplish that. I don’t think that’s something that can be done manually because there has to be a certain amount of force applied in order to get the right amount of tightness.

Oh well. Those are some of the things I think about when my hands are idle and my mind is not thinking about work.

At the same time, I’m also apprehensive because I’m running low on budget and I don’t want to spend more than necessary and risk emptying my bank account. But if I can find a store that sells discount laminate flooring, then perhaps I can fit new floors on my budget.

With laminate flooring, I wouldn’t have to worry so much when my youngest starts running around the house because I know the chances of her slipping on the floor is highly unlikely.

However, I couldn’t help but be amazed by the Curacao jewelry I saw in one of the websites I visited. They were all so stunning with a distinct Caribbean edge to them. I really wished I could add one, or maybe even several pieces, to my cart and escape with my purchase but I had to painfully admit to myself that I am not ready to make such an extravagant purchase as of this moment.

Oh well, I guess I can still restrain myself. I just have to convince myself that there are other more important stuff I need to buy especially for the house and the upcoming school enrollment of my kids.
