In my other blog at Pinay Mommy Online, I have decided to give surprise gifts to my Top 1 Commentator. So last month, January 2012, Sherry of Malaysia won. Therefore, I am sending her all these pink goodies next week. The black one is a wallet and the rest are some kawaii stuffs I got from the store. Aren’t they all lovely?

Care For Your Pool

Especially during summer and other months that are not as cold as winter months, having a dip or a swim in the pool is very refreshing. This is always a welcome activity especially for kids who love to play with water. If you have your own pool, it is best to be able to use it as often as you could to maximize its existence. Only, you also have to give it proper care so that the pool remains to be in its tip top form. Having a cover when not in use will prevent leaves falling in. Changing the filter when needed is also a must. Make sure too that no one eats by the pool side. Make sure your pool supplies are always available.

Last week was one of the baddest week of my entire online life, my oldest blog hosting servers has a CPU overload thus closing down not only this blog but of my clients as well. And because of that, I was forced to work the whole week sleepless but thank God, all of them are working now!! That means we are back to Pink Fridays!! Hoorah!!

Here is my entry this week…

I saw an online shop at Facebook selling homemade jewelries and she has an album for notebooks, journals, coloring book and stuff like that. So instead of buying a jewelry for myself, I ended up buying for my kiddos. :D

Evolution of the Yoyo

No one could really pinpoint where yoyo originated, although it has been said that it originated from China. The origin of this toy can be traced back to those “hunting days”. They used it to hunt for animals, and for self defense at the same time.

Who would have known that many centuries later, the yoyo would become a famous toy? It could even be played professionally by skillful players, plus more modern designs have been made out of the toy over the years. Some yoyos even have blinking lights for added effects. In some places there are even yoyo competitions held for enthusiasts.

2012 Travel: Where Would It Be?

I love to travel — and what kind of person doesn’t?

I am hoping that this year, our family would be able to board on a plane again for a getaway just like what we did last year. Looking at airline sites really make me wish we could book a flight again, but I have to seriously consider the costs. Oh, well… the year is just starting, right? So much could still happen so I guess it’s not wrong to get excited! Wishes come for free so I think that taking my family to a vacation outside the country would be a good goal for me this year.

In our culture, there are many things to spend on especially when you go outside the country—aside from the fare, hotel and food expenses, one has to think of buying some souvenirs to give to close friends back home. I am sure they would be happy to have some cohiba cigars dominican.

Of course it would be great to bring home some chips or some famous delicacies from the place we have visited! I guess that’s still a long way off, so meantime, it’s time to work hard to make this dream come true.

A lot of us could really make use of some extra cash on the side because prices of commodities are really going up. And if you have kids, the effort should be triple because of their growing needs.

Although these things are temporary, we need to have other sources of income besides our main livelihood. For example, you may be a salaried regular employee who gets a paycheck every 15 days. You can maximize your income potential by having a second job or by setting up a small business that you can manage during your spare time

It is really a matter of coming up with creative solutions so that the needs of our family may be met.

PF # 100: Pink Ice Cream Bag

After Typhoon Washi (Sendong) washed away the houses and loved ones of my fellow Cagay-anons, I felt terribly depressed with what happened. And because of my sadness, I forgot about Pink Fridays. I only remembered when it was already Sunday night and I thought it was too late to post. So I decided to have the 100th Pink Fridays on the last Friday of the year 2011. ^_^

Before I continue, I would like to thank all of you Pink Lovers who have religiously joined and also visited fellow participants. I have been on and off the meme grid but you have been so faithful and loyal to this meme. And with that, I am grateful! 2011 was great for us all!!! Thank you so much!!! Looking forward for more Pink Fondness in 2012!!!

A House Pool

It is probably every child’s dream to have a pool in their own home. That way, they could take a dip anytime of the day! Of course having a pool means having to spend a huge amount of money, not to mention that there are other equipment to be bought like raypak pool heater parts.

But having a pool has lots of advantages, too. For one, your children do not have to get out that much to swim at other people’s pools or to spend much in going to resort just for a swim. Instead of your kids going to other people’s houses for parties, they can host their own right in your own backyard.
