Do you remember the time when you joined the school band? I have many fond memories, and have even kept photos of me with my band mates. Playing music in school parades were special, and we got to wear our makeup, too.
So it’s hard to believe that it’s my turn to take photos of my kids when they play in parades. How time flies! I have to admit that I can be more excited than them. Parades are always festive, and I love the sound of the band playing on the street.

It’s quite hard to find an affordable snare drum with good quality these days, though. I just remind my kids to take good care of their instruments—they may not be that costly but if they are well taken cared of, they could last a lot longer.
